## Question

Should trust influence the author, the proposition, the contribution, or the route through the research space?

## Formulation

An initial identity-linked trust proposal is revised toward attaching trust to an idea, with voting potentially changing navigable paths. The alternatives remain significant because they reward different things.

## Tension

Changing where a score attaches changes the research ecology, not merely its presentation.

## Challenge

How should a critical revision inherit, reject, or suspend the assessments attached to its predecessor?
